Just so we’re clear, I’m a massive introvert. I’m awkward at conversing. I can’t even wrap my head around going to a party or somewhere with a bunch of people I should be talking to. So how did I get here?

Here being- coaching CrossFit. Standing up in front of groups of people each day to deliver the Workout Of the Day, giving “Chalk Talk” motivation, drilling movement patterns, and coaching lifts.

It’s really quite simple. I love it.

I love seeing people light up when they do things they never thought possible. I love speaking into athletes and re-framing mindsets. I love to see every day exercisers begin the journey and fall in love with CrossFit themselves.

Before I went to chiropractic school, I was talking with my Dad about how I would be able to work in a service type industry as an introvert. Would I be able to even muster the courage/ability to talk to someone? He simply said, “When you’re working out of your area of expertise and you’re in your place it’ll be just fine. Learn all you can, be the expert and then teach from there.”

I’ve found over the years what he said was true. From chiropractic to CrossFit, the journey has been similar- intense periods of learning, testing, and working at it on a personal level followed by sharing it with others. I realize that I don’t know it all and am constantly reading/learning. My goal is to make CFW one of the best training facilities around.

Many of you guys have been with us for years. While you may have initially come into CFW to lose weight, get in shape, get stronger, etc… What you found was a place you love to be. A place where you’re accepted as an individual, respected, listened to and loved.

I couldn’t be more proud of our community. I love working with you guys! It’s been a great 8 years and I look forward to many more!

Much Love,

Coach Chris
