I said this during our warm-up the other day and it got a bit of a laugh. But you know what? It’s true.

There are a lot of fitness shysters out there trying to peddle the whole lose weight without effort by taking this or that. Total BS.

Don’t get me wrong, you might lose some inches or pounds doing the 500 cals a day and hormones you don’t need. But will you get more fit? No.

You see, it takes some effort to build muscle and gain strength. It takes fortitude to go back to the fourth quarter mile repeat and hold your goal pace. You have to give something. Plus you have to eat. You can’t get something for nothing.

And most days, it’s not going to tickle. But it will feel good.
